In late 2013, Silverback and Cros1 of Freestyle Session formed both UDEF which is a 501(c)3 charity and the Pro Breaking Tour, a taxable subsidiary of UDEF. The Tour was formally launched in January 2014 and has featured several hundred events since its inception.

The idea behind the Tour was to help to create a mini-economic ecosystem around competitive breaking, with the Tour’s prize money events being the initial magnet to attract corporate, media and spectator interest in breaking.
